This year my FABULOUS mother turned the BIG 60! So as a birthday present we thought it would be fun to go camping as a family. Now those of you that know me know that I a do not camp and my idea of camping is a Marriott in the woods. BUT this is for my mother and I would be more than happy to do this for here. So we picked a weekend that all of kids could get together, everyone but Nick...WE MISSED YOU NICK and I booked my ticket. Dari even got time off from work and made the trip from Amsterdam to come so me coming from California did not seem all that bad. So I packed my two large suitcases and even though I was going to be gone for the weekend I still need two suitcases. LOL

My flight leaving Oakland was delayed so I did not arrive in Boise until later than planned but I was thrilled to see my mother waiting for me. I had a good night's sleep in a bed at my mother's house and I enjoyed that. I woke up the next day to help my mother and Dari get ready for our adventure. We packed up my mother's motor home, the camper truck and the truck and headed to Bliss, Idaho. My mother took the extra time to find a camping area for us that had indoor bathrooms and showers so I was very happy to hear about that. She took the extra time to find a place that she thought all of us would enjoy.
We ended up camping at a place called 1000 Springs Resort in Hagerman. Needless to say I have come to find out that the word resort has a different meaning in Idaho than it does in California. LOL
While the indoor bathroom conditions were not the best but they were indoor and had running water so that was a plus. The showers did not have too much water pressure but the fact that there were showers and you had hot / cold water was a plus too. We had a beautiful campsite area and you could hear the falls at night and that was really peaceful and nice. There was a big indoor swimming pool area that was heated and it was fun to swim and play with my nieces, nephews, brother, sister and sister in law. My mother let me bunk with her in her camper and that was nice. Ben, Whitney, Trisha and my mother all had great meals planned. We had great weather and great campfires in the morning and night when it got a little cooler. All and all it was a wonderful time and I was SO GREAT to see my family! I miss them and LOVE them all SO MUCH!! We don't get together that often so it was fun to come together to celebrate the lady who made our whole family possible. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOTHER I LOVE YOU!
So while this "camping" adventure was not the Heather style "glamping" that I would like to do
(My version of camping! aka "GLAMPING"!
it was a WONDERFUL and FABULOUS time with my family! I LOVE my family SO MUCH and I feel so LUCKY, BLESSED and HONORED to be a part of such a FABULOUS FAMILY!
Here are some fun pictures and proof that I actually went camping for you to enjoy!
Mom driving her motor home in front and Dari driving the camper truck. My mother said that she could tell I lived in California because I was driving so close behind Dari that it scared her. I did not think I was driving that close but I guess in Idaho if you can't fit a truck between the two cars it is considered driving "close"! LOL Oh yes I am driving the truck and taking a picture while driving......It was too good to pass up!

Dari in "Camper 2" and me hot on her tail! LOL
A lovely view of the open Idaho Sky!
A view of the waterfalls from our camp grounds
The "shelter" side
The "ruffing" it side
Our whole camping area
Early morning campers
Big Cousin Kailey is SO COOL and a GREAT HELPER
We All LOVE Aunt Dari!
