I hope that everyone had a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving Day.
Today I spent Thanksgiving morning helping to serve Thanksgiving Dinner at Glide Memorial Church in San Francisco. This was the third year that I have done this and if I can't be with my family on Thanksgiving Day then this is where I want to be. Each year I think it is going to be easier because I have done it before but there are still those moments when you have to bite your lip to keep from crying. Needless to say every time I do this I walk away feeling more Thankful and Blessed for ALL that I have in my life. It is amazing for me to see SO MANY amazing people working SOO HARD to provide people with a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving meal. The people that receive theses meals are SO THANKFUL and to me that makes helping so worth it. So as I walked away from working my shifts today and looked a the long line of people that were waiting to get their meals I could not help but feel even more grateful and thankful for all the little things that I have. While I can't be with my family this Thanksgiving Holiday I am blessed and thankful for them. The memories of past Thanksgivings with them bring a smile to my face today as I make my own little Thanksgiving dinner. I am thankful for those memories, for the fact that I have a home, a job, a health body. wonderful friends, a loving family, freedom, and SO MANY MORE things to be thankful for.
So I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day and took a few minutes to reflect on all the things that you are Thankful and Blessed for!
Wishing You ALL the BEST & HAPPINESS Always!
