One of the great things that I love about being in a family ward, besides the fact that I don't have to worry about why I am not being asked out on dates because there is no one to ask me out, is that I get to be around so many different people. Not only do I LOVE seeing & being around all the babies, toddlers and little kids in the ward but it is also great to get to be around the lovely Young Women.
A wonderful and fabulous former single ward alumni, she graduated from the single ward and I just dropped out, is a Young Women's leader in our ward and she asked me if I would be willing to bring my OPI polish collection(I had told her about my collection and said they were welcome to use them) for one of there Young Women activities. Needless to say I was thrilled to be able to share my "small" collection and have all my fun colors be put to good use.
It was so fun to watch these lovely Young Women get so excited over all the colors and trying to pick a color to paint their nails with. It was so cute to watch them paint their nails, talk about school, boys, upcoming events, games, and all fun teenage stuff that girls are talking about these days. They are such a cute and fun group of girls and I felt like a young woman myself being around them. So while some might think my polish collection is a little lame or crazy it is moments like last night that make me feel lucky and blessed to have this "little" OPI obsession. LOL
So THANK YOU Liz, Courtney, Meredith, and the FABULOUS Young Women of the Valparaiso Ward for letting me share with you my polish, being a part of your Wednesday night activity, and for allowing me to be "young at heart" for one night.
