Oscar Oscar Oscar

For those of you that know me you are probably thinking WOW is it Oscar time already?  Well I hate to break the news to you but there are two Oscars in my life.  One is tall, old, statues, full of sold gold and I only see him once a year (sounds like the perfect man for me doesn't it)!  Well that is not the Oscar that I am talking about today.  There is another Oscar in my life and he is one that I can wear while I am going to see my other Oscar...scandalous sounding I know.  LOL

Anyway I will get to the point of this whole post.
Yesterday Oscar de la Renta showed 2009 Spring RTW collection and let me just say almost EVERYTHING in this "Ready To Wear" collection I would wear.   Out of the 63 designs he showed I LOVED all of them.  The thing that I LOVE about Oscar is that there is always something in his collection that you would wear, your mother would wear, and your grandmother would wear.  I think an Oscar de la Renta outfit is the only outfit you would borrow from your mother and / or grandmother.  LOL  I will never forget the first time I saw a real Oscar de la Renta gown in a department store.  It was at the Saks 5th Ave. at Union Square in San Francisco and I felt that I was looking at the Mona Lisa.  It was one of the most beautiful gowns I have ever seen.  I  know from looking in  fashion magazines that Oscar de la Renta gowns are amazing and a work of art but whoever said a picture can say a thousand words never saw an Oscar de la Renta gown in person because the real thing can say a million words.
Now some of you might be thinking what about Ralph?  Where is Ralph?  Is she over Ralph?
No I have saved the best for last and Ralph will be tomorrow.  After all tomorrow is another day! LOL
So if you would like to see his latest collection click on the link below and enjoy!

OH WHAT A DAY!

My Oh My What A Day!

I think it is a good thing that I do not live in NYC because for one I would be super broke, jobless because I would spend all day trying to hit the fashion shows, and /or in jail because I sneaked into the fashion show.  LOL
So today one of my favorite designers presented her collection.  The ever elegant and classy Carolina Herrera showed us why she is so elegant and classy with her collection.  She used a variety for amazing colors and prints for her collection and have to love the lady because she started it all out with RED.  Nothing says attention like the color red.  While there was one dress that she had in her collection that I thought look a little like one that I had seen in a Ralph Lauren collection but over all she gets the "FLOT" (Favorite Looks Of Today) award for me.
While Carolina Herrera's collection was my favorite today I also really liked Isaac Mizrahi's collection and while the only thing that I can afford  of Isaac Mizrahi's are items from Target collection it is always fun to see what he designs for those that don't always shop at Target.
Catherine Malandrion also had a great collection showing today and if a few years about you would have asked me who this lady is I would not have been able to tell you but thanks to Project Runway I have now found another designer to look for, yeah because that is what I need.
Marc Jacobs also showed his Marc Jacobs collection today, for those of you that might not know this he is also the designer of the Louis Vuitton collection so he is one very busy man during Fashion Week.  He collection was a little different and there were not tons of pieces that I liked out of this collection there were lots of great fabrics, brings, well tailored pieces, and great accessories.  Plus I am not one to judge because I am lucky if I can sew on a button.
So another great fashion day has come to close and I can not wait to see what tomorrow holds.
Have A GREAT Night and FABULOUS Week!
LOTS of LOVE , SMILES, and BEST Wishes from the Bay!
